Urban Structures

oil on canvas, dimensions 120 x 150 cm; 18 x 24 cm, 2017
Study of an individual at one point became a study of society and its structures so while painting my focus gradually transfered from animal motives to spaces which surround them. A myriad structures that tangle and weave into a heterogeneous mass are what illustrate the city of today and the society that created it. By stringing regular/irregular shapes, out of their overlapping and synchronization emerge chaotic, dystopian spaces.
